 Youth Mobilization and Practical Steps
Duration of the Project: June 2006 – September 2007 Location of the Project Ijevan city, Tavush Marz Donor of the Project: Counterpart International The main Goal of the project was enrollment of the developed policy on Ijevan city youth issues of into the 4 Year Plan of the Community and assurance of youth enrollment in the processes of solving the youth issues. Towards the end of the project CCDI expects to have: Full assessment and clear picture of the community youth issues Increased awareness of the community youth Developed Policy Manual on Youth Issues Decision of the Community Council on enrollment of the Policy Manual on Youth Issues into the 4 Year Plan of the Community. Information leaflets, Policy Manual, Posters, Booklets The main Activities to be undertaken to reach the Project Goal are listed below: Activity1. Assessment of the status and the situation among the Institutions and NGOs dealing with youth issues, students studying at Educational Institutions / Inter Educational Institution discussions, Focus Groups/. Activity 2. Conducting TV Debates with youth participation Activity 3. Development of a Policy on Youth Issues Activity 4. Assuring youth participation at LSG decision making processes via lobbying and public pressure. Activity 5. Presentation of the youth issues and assurance that those issues are enrolled into the 4 Year Plan of the Community. Activity 6. Printing of information leaflets, policy manual, posters and booklets. The direct beneficiaries of the project are the students studying at 5 Educational Institutions and the organizations dealing with Youth Issues. |
