 Support to Election Processes in Armenia 2007
Duration of the Project: January 2007 – March 2007 Location of the Project: Marzes of Aragatsotn, Armavir, Lori, Kotayq, Gegharkunik, Shirak, Tavush, Syunik and Yerevan Donor of the Project: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland Under the financial support of the Finnish Government, the CCDI NGO implemented the “Support to Election Processes in Armenia 2007” project. Within the scope of the project the experts of CCDI NGO implemented the following activities in Aragatsotn, Armavir, Lori, Kotayq, Gegharkunik, Shirak, Tavush, Syunik, and Yerevan: •Training of the first time Voters •Training of Proxies •Publication of the training Guide The participants of the sessions were the community residents and other participants of election processes. The aim was to increase awareness and public participation. First time 64 meetings were conducted with the Voters, in average with participation of 19-20 students in each meeting, out of the total number of participants 1259 were female representatives; this was more than 50% of the total number of participants. In 8 marzes of Armenia training sessions (61 sessions in total) were conducted for the members of the Political parties and the Proxies. |
