 The Center for Community Dialogues and Initiatives (CCDI) is to implement specific activities in the areas of Direct Citizen’s Engagement and Information Resources and Public Outreach. It is to operate, manage and develop the Citizens’ Awareness and Participation in Armenia (CAPA) project through the network manifested by CCDI in Yerevan, Armavir, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Gegharkunik, Shirak, Lori and Syunik regions.
Through a network of developed resource centers and qualified instructors/community organizers in the above stated regions, CCDI strives to promote a more transparent, responsive and democratic government by building the knowledge base and organizing capacities of community members in addition to improving their ability to interact with authorities through the promotion of Inter-spectral dialogues and when appropriate, advocacy.
CCDI aims to realize its mission through trainings for the population (seminars, discussion groups, free of charge library services, radio and television programs etc.); publicizing current and developing legislation; disseminating information through publications and other means; organizing community forums, debates, and public discussions; providing consultations; supporting advocacy campaigns; organizing volunteer actions and cultural actions; and conducting research, investigations and other actions.
